Recently restored and modernised, with central heating throughout, the house is on two floors backing into the side of a hill, with an entry from the street onto both floors. Walk in through the downstairs
entrance and the first thing you see are the mediaeval brick arches of the entrance hall.
Leading off the hall are the kitchen and dining area, the downstairs bathroom and utility room, and the stairs through to the upper part of the house.
The kitchen is large, with all modern conveniences including an AG hob and oven and Siemens dishwasher. Cutlery, glasses and plates are provided.
If you don't feel like slow cooking but still don't fancy eating out, there is also a microwave. And if you are eating in, there is a table for eight in the dining area by the kitchen.
The main bathroom opens off the entrance hall. For those who prefer a soak, it has a large bath, as well as toilet and bidet. There is a utility room attached, as well as a washing machine.
Past the bathroom and up the stairs leads to the second entrance hall, with all the upstairs rooms opening off it.
The upstairs bathroom is smaller than the downstairs one, with a walk-in shower instead of a bath.
The living room has a sofa which doubles as a bed for two (one double or two singles). It also has a television. But above all it has a splendid view looking over the rooftops of Penne onto the Maiella mountains to the south.
The main bedroom has a king-size bed with gorgeous 1930s bedhead, a large wardrobe, and a storage alcove with its own pigeon-sized doorway to the outside.
With the second bedroom we are back in the world of mediaeval arches. This bedroom has two single beds.
